The Kneipp Path combines nature, sport, and health. You start in the town center and walk down Villa Böckweg, passing the service dog school (former cold water sanatorium) on the left, along the Schönfichten farm road. Before the second bridge, turn left to enter the Kneipp Path; after a short walk, you reach the "Kasmühle", which you bypass shortly via the farm road. Afterwards, the first motor skills station for "warming up" awaits you. You walk upstream along the Kempbach to the romantic waterfall, where the "Linzer Baths" of the cold water sanatorium once were. On the way to the forest meditation, 7 more motor skills stations invite you to exhaust yourself, as well as a natural Kneipp basin for water treading. At the forest meditation stands a beautiful wooden cross; enjoy the absolute calm before the ascent. Then you walk down an idyllic forest trail over the Kricklberg to the "Bründl", where you can take an arm wash. The circular route leads you back to the town past the bathhouses.Tip:
The Kneipp Path is one of my personal favorite routes because you can really recharge your soul here. Pay attention when you walk past the rushing water towards the forest meditation; here you can almost "hear" the silence at the transition – pure goosebumps. I definitely recommend taking a rest at the forest meditation and enjoying the spicy forest air and the tranquility. My tip: Another special "spot" on the way – when you walk down Kricklberg, you will find a detour arrow at the clearing towards the "Tree Circle Spot"; be sure to follow this arrow! After a few steps, you come to the former "Kricklberger Estate", where only a small piece of the walls can be seen. At this special power place, you will find 3 of the life trees from the Bad Kreuzen Tree Circle with information boards – it’s worth it! And for sports enthusiasts, of course, the tip is to include the motor exercises of our "Fit&Fun course" in your walk – an absolute power workout!Safety guidelines:
The Kneipp Path is basically walkable all year round; however, in winter we ask for particular caution as some icy spots are to be expected.Equipment:
