Description:

From Hauptplatz, head uphill towards the Castle Museum. Here, the history of Linz can be traced back to Roman times. The path leads past Martinskirche to the park area, where the Franz-Josef-Warte offers a magnificent panoramic view.
Also notable along the route are the Stupa (Buddhist structure) and the former Jesuit monastery, whose annexes now house the Aloisianum high school.

Tip:
Via Freinbergstraße and Roseggerstraße, a detour to the Botanical Garden is recommended. On 4.2 hectares, over 10,000 plant species can be seen, and the greenhouses especially showcase the splendor of exotic plants. The facility is also known for its unique cactus collection.Equipment:
