The Kreuzberg Nature Reserve is a gem in the middle of the market town of Weyer – a paradise for walking, hiking, running, breathing fresh air and soaking up the sun, and enjoying the view.Directions:
The route starts at the Kreuzberg parking lot in Weyer and leads under the railway into the forest area of Kreuzberg. In several switchbacks, the path winds uphill and then leads across towards Thürbauer, from there down to the railway promenade and along the Gaflenz stream upstream back to the parking lot.Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region – Weyer train station: By train, you reach the starting point for this hike in about 2 hours from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna.Additional information:
On the way back, take a detour to the historic marketplace with its romantic courtyards and numerous dining options.
