The Kreuzberg nature reserve is a gem in the middle of the market town of Weyer – a paradise for walking, hiking, running, breathing fresh air and enjoying the sun and the view.Directions:
The route starts at the Kreuzberg parking lot in Weyer and leads under the railway into the forest area of Kreuzberg. The path winds up in several switchbacks to Einsiedlerboden, continues to Kreuzbergboden and returns via Drei Kreuze. It goes down to the promenade via Teufelsmauer and Thürbauer. The return route follows the Gaflenz stream upstream back to the parking lot.Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region – Weyer train station: By train, you can reach the starting point of this hike in about 2 hours from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna.Additional information:
On the way back, take a detour to the historic market square with its romantic courtyards and numerous dining options.
