From the parking lot in the Klaus in Hammergraben, first follow the forest road, then the path leads over a wooden bridge onto a trail through the forest. Passing the Saileralm, the route goes up the Arzbach to Almkogel (1,513 m) and over the pass to Hühnerkogel (1,474 m).

Directions:The starting point for this summit route is in Hammergraben in Kleinreifling. The first part of hiking trail 494 leads over a forest road. Then it goes right over a wooden bridge onto a trail through the forest. You cross the Saileralm and follow the markings steadily uphill to the alpine pasture and to Almkogel. Over the pass, you reach Hühnerkogel.Tip:
No refreshment options along the way, so bring drinks and a snack if needed.
