Directions:
Down over the rocks bubbles the stream that once powered a water wheel in every house. For 500 years, traditional Austrian pocket knives have been made in Trattenbach in the old family tradition. Six showrooms and museums bring back to life that time when 17 masters produced the famous pocket feitels and delivered them all over the world.
A visit to the traditional Feitel-Manufaktur Löschenkohl is unforgettable. If you want to try it yourself, you can make your own feitel. The water play area at the Drah'Hüttn invites you to experiment, build and play.
Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park Region - railway station Trattenbach: By train you can reach the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and in about 2.5 hours from Vienna.
