The ski touring route Kornbrand, leads
The Kornbrand ski tour route leads past gentle streams, over moors and through fairytale like forests. Away from the piste for the ascent, on the piste for the descent is the motto, because with tours like this we want to distance ourselves from the hustle and fully engage with nature.
About four and a half km and 700 vertical meters of pure ski mountaineering pleasure lead to the Hornspitz, where we are rewarded with dream views of Plassen, Gosaukamm and of course the Dachstein. In regards of skill, the route is easy, with a few more demanding sections, but the gentle winter experience is guaranteed!
Ascent route in unsecured, open terrain - NO SLOPE TOUR! Complete avalanche equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel), tour planning in advance and compliance with the local avalanche situation report. The descent may only take place on the piste until 5 p.m., not off-piste.
In case of emergency call the mountain rescue under 140.
