This fantastic ski tour leads from the Calvary Church in Gosau to the Hornspitz via alpine pastures and moors. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a fantastic mountain panorama.

The Almenweg ski tour starts at the calvary church in the Gosau valley. From there via the Herrenweg through the forest and the unique landscape of Gosau. In the upper part then, as the name suggests, via beautiful alpine pastures and past traditional huts. Arriving at the Hornspitz, we find ourselves in the middle of a fantastic panorama that shows us the Kalmberg and the Gamsfeld in the north and the bizarre peaks of the Gosaukamm and the Dachstein glazier in the south. All in all a technically easy tour with plenty of time to enjoy nature.
Ascent route in unsecured, open terrain - NO SLOPE TOUR! Complete avalanche equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel), tour planning in advance and compliance with the local avalanche situation report. The descent may only take place on the piste until 5 p.m., not off-piste.In case of emergency call the mountain rescue under 140.

Motorway exit Regau on Salzkammergut street B145 towards Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern, in Bad Goisern turn right onto B166, at the Gosaumühle junction turn right towards Gosau
from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau

Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee
