A leisurely ride to the Tannenschlagweg!
The trail can be used all year round, but in winter (during the logging season) you should avoid the settlement at the beginning and end as the paths are very soft.
Depending on your ability, the round takes 60 - 90 minutes and is mainly in the forest on well-surfaced paths.

This route is also available as a beautiful hiking trail, all information can be found here: https://www.tourismus-hausruckwald.at/live-preview/oesterreich-tour/detail/430007636/tannenschlagweg-reiter-glueck-isst-runde.html

On leaving the Hausruckhof farm, turn right and ride into the forest on the left after the houses. Keep left, past a small recreational area to the end of the residential road. There you can cross the main road and turn onto the meadow path immediately after the advertising boards, up to the forest (Ampflwanger Feld). Shortly before you can enjoy the view behind the sports field (picture 1), you will see another settlement (Hüblstrasse) on your left (if the ground is wet, only join the route here!).
Now ride through the southern foothills of the forest to Buchleitenfeld, cross the settlement and re-enter the forest behind Buchleiten at Hochstraß. From then on, you stay on well-surfaced paths that invite you to trot and tölt, and there are also good stretches for a brisk canter.
Along the municipal wood, you can see the Göblberg viewing tower and the Aldiana resort on the left. Along the way, there are information boards about the Tannenschlagweg, which tell the story of the village of Ampflwang and the Hausruckwald.
Above the Sommergattenfeld you come out of the forest and behind the village of Wassenbach you are presented with a wonderful Alpine panorama. As you ride along the edge of the forest for a while, you can look for the church spire of Ampflwang for entertainment.
Turn right again into the forest and the loop ends behind the sports field.
From there, the way back is identical to the way out.
