The circuit has a length of 22.8km and leads with an ascent of 1,189hm over two peaks, first on the often well-visited Hohe Dirn and then on the Sonnkogel.
On the route there is a stop for refreshments, the Anton Schosser Hütte, which is located in the area of the Hohe Dirn and from there has a great view of the Alpine foothills.
Directions:The loop starts at the Reichraming train station, which is located just outside the village, after the Enns bridge on the left. We walk along the Enns into the village and cross the Reichramingbach shortly before the elementary school. We walk uphill in the direction of Gschliffner Höhe, on hiking trail no. 35 we follow the road until it divides at 3.6 kilometers walked. We keep to the right steeply uphill over meadows and short forest passages until we meet the Rohrbachgrabenstraße, which we continue to run along.
At km 5,4 the road divides and a forest road begins and leads us up to the Hamberg farm. Now we walk along the road for 1.5 km until we reach the second parking lot of the Anton Schosser Hut, which we reach after a total of 10.7 kilometers. Here we can continue walking to the Hohe Dirn, the summit is reached after about 10 minutes. Back again, past the Schosser hut then goes briefly downhill and then along a ridge on the Sonnkogel, on the highest point of the round. Hiking trail no. 33 leads us down from the summit and turns into hiking trail no. 467 and then into trail no. 30. This leads us partly over little used paths to the Gfallnau. A little sense of direction is required, as the markings are sometimes difficult to recognize. Passing a game reserve, we meet up again with trail no. 35 and follow it along the same path we came from until we reach the Reichraming train station.
Tip:Very strenuous, because partly very steep and pathless terrain, densely wooded forest sections.Safety guidelines:
Take a break at the Anton Schosser Hütte.
