Lidaun-Trail
4820 Bad Ischl
A ten-kilometer route of a different kind in the beautiful Fuschlsee region. The summit of Lidaun, the main prize of this trail, is rather unknown but one of the best viewpoints of the Osterhorn group and many other peaks of the Salzkammergut.

- Round trip
Starting in the municipality of Hof, this trail run leads over two loops to the Lidaun and back.
In the uphill, you follow the path along the Lepabach and reach the summit via many forest trails and a few forest roads. If you are fit, you can run through much of this! At the summit, there is a great view, among others, of Faistenau and the Osterhorn group. The downhill leads swiftly and very enjoyably through numerous switchbacks in a dense forest. Caution: it can be slippery when wet and in spring, snow remains here for a long time. If interested, you can also visit the small Bear Cave just below the summit. After the first downhill section, a forest road and a few small paths lead back to Hof.
Directions:The route to Lidaun is well signposted. In the uphill, keep left above the Lebachstraße and later take the right turn below the summit plateau. Downhill is exactly the opposite.
