Experience the beauty of the Innviertel region on the Hoffeldrunde, an idyllic hike that is perfect for both nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. This circular hike begins and ends in Reichersberg am Inn and takes you through a varied landscape characterized by lush forests, wide fields and the gently flowing Inn.

The hike begins in the village of Reichersberg am Inn, known for its impressive Augustinian canon monastery. Take a moment to admire the baroque architecture and the well-tended gardens of the monastery before setting off.

From Reichersberg, follow the well-signposted path in the direction of the Gurten estuary. The walk takes you through peaceful, rural surroundings, past lush meadows and small woods. Look out for the numerous bird species that are native to the area and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Once you reach the mouth of the Gurten, turn onto the path that leads you along the Inn back to Reichersberg. The river accompanies you on this section of the hike and offers breathtaking views of the glistening water and the surrounding nature time and again.

During your hike, you have the opportunity to discover the diverse flora and fauna of the region. The riparian forests along the Inn are home to numerous animal species, including deer and a variety of birds.

The trail finally leads you back to Reichersberg, where you can end your hike in comfort.

The Chorherren trail is a shorter loop that starts at the market square in Reichersberg. The trail continues slightly downhill past Reichersberg Abbey. Over the wooden footbridge you cross the floodplain and reach the brook Inn. Follow the river upstream. Then it goes back through the floodplain over smaller wooden bridges and after a short climb you reach the starting point.
