Bosruckhütte - Scheiblingstein - Bosruckhütte

On the south-eastern edge of the Pyhrn-Priel vacation region, you will discover a special treat - the Scheiblingstein. Slightly off the beaten track and with a not-too-short route and altitude difference to overcome, you will be rewarded with pristine nature, striking mountain formations and a special panoramic view from the Totes Gebirge mountains deep into Styria.

You start your tour from the Bosruckhütte parking lot in Spital am Pyhrn. On hiking trail 601, you first reach the Bosruckhütte and the Rohrauerhaus. Here you can get your fill of refreshments on your return. From the Rohrauerhaus, you reach the Styrian side via the Pyhrgasgatterl, where you stay for most of the way. You can now go downhill for a while, where you turn into trail no. 629 at the lowest point. A beautiful path continues uphill between mountain pines, the vegetation gradually diminishes and only the most robust alpine flowers accompany you along the way. The so-called "Lange Gasse" lives up to its name. Hang in there - because once you reach the top of the ridge, you will be rewarded with a fascinating view of the Styrian side. Now it's not far over the last section of the ridge and you reach the summit cross with edelweiss on the Scheiblingstein. From here, your gaze can wander over the Haller Mauern, the Gesäuse and the Tote Gebirge. Enjoy a rest at the summit and let your mind wander at this altitude. You've earned it.
