Directions:

The starting point of this circular hike is the Klausriegler car park in Trattenbach. The well-marked hiking trail initially leads steadily uphill – over open meadow areas and further through shady forest sections. After a final ascent over a spacious high plateau, the summit of Schoberstein (1,285 m) is finally reached. Just below the summit, the Schobersteinhaus invites you for a cozy break with a panoramic view.

For the descent, follow the mountain ridge eastwards to Koglerstein/Schinder and then enter the forest. The path continues down to the idyllic Mandlmais Chapel. From there, it goes on a forest road past the Scheibachfall back to the starting point at the Klausriegler car park.
