The Almkogel hiking trail No. 492 passes the farm Kronstein near the station, follows a forest road up to a saddle, crosses a raised bog to the Brennhöhe, and ascends steeply to the Rotstein. For the return, the route goes via the Lumplgraben back to the starting point.
Directions:The hike starts at Großraming station and follows the Almkogel hiking trail No. 492. Past the farm Kronstein, the path goes along a forest road to a saddle. From there, the trail continues over a raised bog to the Brennhöhe. Here you can either shorten the route towards the former Pension Stangl or climb the summit of the Rotstein. About 100 meters after a gate, the path turns right and leads steeply uphill. At the top, there is a beautiful view of Großraming and the Hintergebirge. The descent goes down the front side of the Rotstein to Pension Stangl. From there, it returns to the station.
