The Lakeside Manor House

The "Appesbach", formerly a private mansion, offers 25 beautiful guest rooms including junio suites, family Appartments and The Windsor Suite, where Edward, Duke of Windsor, enjoyed the splendour of St. Wolfgang.

Most of our rooms have lake view, many have private balconies or decks, Appesbach´s lovely drawing room, salon and veranda invite lingering. Our bar overlook the shimmering lake, while the adjacent terrace provides outdoor sitting in a magnificent setting.

Situated close enough to easily enjoy the charm of St. Wolfgang and yet far enough to provide complete privacy, Appesbach is an exclusive retreat for our guests.
Enjoy our private gardens, beach and tennis court or relax in our sauna. Explore the beaty of this region on the numerous nearby marked hiking trails.

Accessibility / arrival

Coming from Munich/Salzburg Highway - stay on the A1 direction Vienna until exit Thalgau.
Exit at Thalgau and drive on to the B 158. Go east and pass Hof and Fuschl to St. Gilgen.
Further along the Lake "Wolfgangsee" to Strobl (our neighbour village).
Exit at Strobl direction St. Wolfgang.

Coming from Vienna we suggest to take the exit Mondsee on the A1 and drive to direction St. Gilgen, from there you follow to Strobl and exit there to St. Wolfgang.

Past the exit Strobl follow the signs to St. Wolfgang - to the Appesbach from this exit it is 4,5 km.
You find us lefthandside in a lakeside park 100 meters after the big camping place.
