The Hostelo is located in a historic building (a warehouse of the medieval town) that combines the charm of bygone eras with the warmth and sociability of a simple hostel stay. It reflects the rustic charm of the town while providing travelers with a cozy and uncomplicated retreat.

In the heart of the city, at the main square of Freistadt, yet surrounded by greenery, right next to the medieval city moat with plenty of grass and a playground, the Hostelo is the ideal starting point to discover Freistadt.

The rooms are ideal for groups, school classes, or simply for anyone who enjoys meeting new people.
You will find a total of 20 beds on the first floor, distributed across two rooms with 5 bunk beds each. If needed, we also have 2 extra beds for supervisors, allowing a maximum of 22 people to stay with us.

Directly in the hallway, two bathrooms with showers and toilets are available to you. This way, you always have quick access to everything you need.

Self-catering option:

If needed, we also have 2 extra beds for supervisors, allowing a maximum of 22 people to stay with us. Right across the hall, two bathrooms with showers and toilets are available to you, ensuring quick access to everything you need.

The communal room is casual and inviting – everyone is welcome here. The sofas invite you to a relaxed conversation or a cozy movie night, the table is perfect for a joint board game, and the foosball table is set for a family challenge. And the little guests? They can enjoy themselves in the play corner.
