Christkindl Balloon Flight

The pre-Christmas balloon launch in Christkindl has been a tradition for decades.
The Steyr Stamp Collectors' Club, in close coordination and cooperation with the city of Steyr and the tourism association, has restaged this tradition from 2022.

Traditionally on the first Sunday in Advent, the "Christkindl Balloon Launch" (previously this was St. Nicholas) takes place on the meadow in front of the parish hall in Christkindl.
The celebrity passenger is none other than the Steyr Christkindl, who takes the children's wishes and balloon receipts up into the sky.
