Humans reach for the stars via the moon - let's find out more about the moon's rhythm spectrum and the associated chronobiology of humans. Let's shed light on the health and effects of our earth companion on the sleep rhythm of humans and the significance for the entire living world.

The tour always takes place around the full moon, depending on the weather and cloud cover on one of the three days listed.

We set off from Weyregg in the spirit of sustainability and the reduction of private transport and multiple headlights with the shared taxi of the Sternenpark im Naturpark Attersee Traunsee for the journey into the quiet darkness on the Kreuzingalm. The sunset accompanies us into the twilight. We observe the progression of the twilight phases and our eyes become accustomed to the onset of darkness.

We look at topics such as the waste of light, the difference between darkness and eclipse, the lunar rhythms of earthworms and honeybees and much more. The question of whether low and high tide can be felt on Lake Attersee will also be explored. On the special days around the full moon, we are visited by an owl that makes its rounds over our heads.

Galactic tastings with a historical background, moon water and other giveaways await us on our tour. Extensive scripts and information on better light complete our tour.

Meeting point: car park next to the fire station in 4852 Weyregg Weyregger Straße 40
From there, we take the Attersee star taxi (Taxi Gebetsroither minibus) to the Kreuzingalm and back to the light in a sustainable way that minimises traffic and protects nature.

Equipment: hiking boots or other suitable sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, seat cushion/mat, binoculars if available, duration of the tour approx. 3 hours
