Children's Workshops with Annette Philp

As part of the exhibition “The Seen Human,” children are invited to engage in a deeper perception of art and humanity.

The intensive workshop is divided into a knowledge section with observing, describing, and interpreting the artworks and a practical section with elementary artistic techniques.

The workshop is led by Dr. Annette Philp, who was long responsible for art education at the Munich Pinakotheken. She advocates an educational approach that trusts children to independently and vibrantly explore contemporary art. She is the author of the book “Sehstern. How Children Learn from Art” (Kerber Verlag 2011) and was a professor of free art education at the University of Fine Arts, Brunswick from 2008 to 2015.
