The trail begins near the Große Klause downstream by the Rabenbach bridge (1st bridge on the left). From there, it initially follows the forest road, then through the forest to Klaushof, where it returns to a forest road and finally merges into hiking trail 472 towards Ebenforstalm. Surefootedness is required in some places.
From Anlaufalm, you can reach either via Hochschlachtbach (trail 485) or via hiking trail 488 and continue on Hintergebirgsweg 470 to Große Klause.
