The alpine hut is open from May 1 to October 26. Tuesday is a rest day. The furnishings of the kitchen, guest room, and the rooms are very simple. We have no connection to the power grid. There is only a small solar power system with storage that provides a little lighting in the evenings. There are no electrical appliances. All warm meals are cooked with the wood stove. Life on the mountain is limited to the essentials. We and our guests experience how simply one can live. The breathtaking nature in the Kalkalpen National Park and the cozy evenings with the guests (often with music) make the stay at the Anlaufalm a special experience.

The dormitory is located on the 1st floor of the Alm building and has 16 beds. The individual beds are divided into 2-bed and 3-bed compartments by cabin partitions. The beds are equipped with good mattresses, headrests, blankets, and comforters. The mattresses are covered with sheets, and the cushions and comforters are covered with bedding. However, there is a requirement to use a sleeping bag.

The 4-bed room is located on the 1st floor of the Almbebädes and has 2 bunk beds. The beds are equipped with good mattresses, pillows, blankets, and comforters. The mattresses are covered with sheets and the pillows and comforters are covered with bed linens. However, there is a requirement to use a sleeping bag.

Accessibility / arrival

The Anlaufalm is not accessible by car. The shortest hike to the Alm takes about 1.5 hours. The starting point is the village of Bunnbach in the municipality of Großraming. We can be reached by bike from Großraming or Reichraming.

On the Anlaufalm, approximately 90 cattle are driven up each summer. In addition to working with the cattle, we host and accommodate our guests. The alpine hut is located on 2 long-distance hiking trails. (Luchstrail and Kalkalpenweg)
