The Lake Gosau is a small mountain lake, embedded in beautiful nature with a view of the Dachstein!
Probably one of the most famous photo motifs in the region
This small, protected mountain lake is characterized by very cold, clear water of drinking water quality.
Lake Gosau provides the ideal habitat for numerous species of fish.
Lake Gosau spreads out in the face of the highest mountain in the Salzkammergut. Even the world-traveling naturalist Alexander Freiherr von Humboldt was deeply impressed and overwhelmed when he described Lake Gosau, the crowning glory of the valley directly in front of the mighty walls and towers of the Dachstein, as "the eye of God".
Experience a 360° panoramic tour through the Gosau Valley...
Lake Gosau can be visited all year round.
The circular hiking trail is accessible from May to October.
