Artful arrival near the city center
All four landing stages in Linz are centrally located directly on the Danube. The city's most important sights - such as the old town, main square, St. Mary's Cathedral or the Pöstlingberg - are just a few minutes' walk or drive away.
The Linz-Lentos landing stage is located directly between the Nibelungen Bridge and the Lentos Art Museum. The infrastructure is excellent and buses can travel directly to the landing stage, making it easy to get to and from the museum.
With its important collection of Austrian and international art, the adjacent Lentos Art Museum is one of the most renowned museums of modern art in Austria. Works by Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka and Valie Export provide an insight into art history, as do changing exhibitions of contemporary positions.
Especially in the evening hours, a very special attraction unfolds at this location: the illuminated facades of the Lentos and the Ars Electronica Center opposite are transformed into a fascinating play of colors. The changing light is reflected in the water of the Danube and turns this section into the glowing stage of Linz's Danube Cultural Mile - an atmospheric highlight for any visit to the city.
