Bio Yak – Yakzucht Hofbauer

Our yaks live outdoors 365 days a year. From March to December, they graze on the pasture,
even when it is already snowed in.
In winter, they are only fed hay (no silage, no concentrated feed).
The aim of our organic farm is to close the cycle of nature on our own farm.
This enables us to ensure that our organic products are 100% regional and natural.

Meat:
Yak meat is characterised by its scarlet colour and high protein content.
It is also low in cholesterol and rich in iron and zinc.
Very little fat is stored between the pronounced muscle fibres.
Our products include
Mixed packages with roulades, roasts, goulash, cooked meat and minced meat.
Steaks and burger patties are also available.
Depending on availability, there are also sausage products.
Products are only available every few months or on request.

For our more distant customers we dispatch the fresh meat,
