The hiking trail from the Hornspitzbahn middle station to Pass Gschütt Straße offers the perfect opportunity for non-skiers to enjoy the Dachstein West ski region in winter and the hiking region in summer!
The beautiful hiking trail can be hiked in summer and winter. In winter, you have the option of taking the chairlift to the Hornspitzbahn middle station and hiking from there to Pass Gschütt Straße and back again if you wish. By car
from Salzburg:
Highway exit Golling - Abtenau, Rußbach, Gosau
from Linz:
Regau highway exit - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau.
from Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Aussee, continue on B145 towards Bad Goisern, take the B166 ramp to Golling/Gosau/Obertraun/Hallstatt/Bad Goisern-Süd, turn right at the Gosaumühle junction towards Gosau
from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße to Gosau
By train
Route Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue by bus 541 in the direction of Gosaumühle, change to bus 542 in the direction of Lake Gosau
By bus (Sundays irregular):
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, bus stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt
change to bus 542 direction Gosausee, get off at the bus stop "Abzw. Pass Gschütt".
Bus 541 (Bad Ischl - Gosaumühle)
Bus 542 (Gosaumühle - Gosausee) Bus stop: Gosau Klaushof, Gosau Bärnausiedlung, Gosau Ressenbachweg, Gosau Vordertal B166, Gosau Ramsau B166, Gosau, Gemeindeamt, Abzw. Pass Gschütt
