From Niederthan via the Wundersberg, the Irrach to Gunskirchen. At a leisurely pace, this trail takes a whole day to complete.
For a lunch break, you can either take a break in the open air, for example at the Wundersberg, or take a detour along the blue-marked side trail to the Fernreith inn. The trail begins at the Dimlergut - Niederthanstraße junction. The path branches off from Niederthanstraße along a garden fence to the east and then turns to the north about 100 metres further on. It climbs slightly into the Linetwald forest. After about 700 metres, the blue marked hiking trail "Puchberg-Linet" joins this main hiking trail in the forest coming from the east. It then continues along the height of the forest ridge for less than 2 kilometres to the connecting road to the villages of Forst and Kalteneck. On this road, the main hiking trail continues south for about 250 m over the bridge that crosses the Innkreis motorway to the Innbachtal country road, which is reached at the Eckerkapelle chapel. Where the path, coming from the Linet, reaches the connecting road to Forst, a hiking trail also marked in red branches off in a westerly direction, namely the traditional "Schmidinger Wanderweg". From the Eckerkapelle chapel, the large hiking trail follows the country road for around 400 metres and then branches off to the left into the forest, climbing steeply in the forest for around 100 metres up to the crest of the Wundersberg. Follow the red markings to reach the junction of one of the two blue-marked connecting paths to Fernreith after about 2 km near the house of a former cooperage.

However, if you continue along the red markings, you will reach the junction of two local roads after a further 2 km, just west of the village of Schustersberg. There, the second blue-marked trail to and from Fernreith joins the red-marked main trail. The main path continues in a south-westerly direction, then turns to the west and leads, still along the municipal road, to the village of Haag. To the west of the road, about 50 metres away, is the "Irrachhöhe", marked by a trigonometric surveying mast. The Irracherhöhe is 450 metres above sea level. Unfortunately, it is difficult to access via the private land of the local farmer.

After about 100 metres, the hiking trail continues southwards out of the village of Haag and then leaves the road. It follows a row of fruit trees southwards towards the forest, descending gently in places and more steeply in others, down into the valley. (This is also the most difficult section of the trail; it is also used by horse riders for a short stretch. Sturdy footwear is recommended here). After about 2500 m you come to the district road from Gunskirchen and Pichl, follow this for about 50 m in the direction of Pichl and then come to the road branching off to the left in a southerly direction, which leads to Gunskirchen via Liedering over a length of about 3500 m, roughly parallel to the district road, but a few hundred metres to the west. About halfway along, the road branches off to the east. A signpost indicates that from there you reach the village of Fallsbach after barely 300 metres. Fallsbach is home to a popular pilgrimage church and an inn (which is only open occasionally). However, the hiking trail itself does not lead to Fallsbach, but is a genuine meadow path down into a lovely valley. The path crosses the small stream on a concrete footbridge maintained by the town of Wels and then climbs up the meadow slope to Oberschacher. On the hill, a striking group of trees is visible from afar and characterises the landscape. The markings now lead the hiker on to Gunskirchen. The track joins the Pichl road, and the markings also follow this road into the town square of Gunskirchen.
