111 Bad Zell Runde

From the car park directly opposite the Hotel Lebensquell, the trail leads along the Kettenbach through a beautifully landscaped park past the Gasthaus Populorum out of Bad Zell. The route climbs steadily along goods roads towards Erdleiten.

A 2-kilometre gravel road leads at a brisk pace down into the Waldaisttal valley. At the northernmost point of the tour, the route turns south again in a tight curve.
(Tip: Here you have the option of taking the connecting route to Gutau for approx. 2 km on the Aisttal district road L1415 to the mountain bike route 110 Gutau Runde).
The route is varied and challenging, with repeated climbs through the villages of Weberberg and Barndorf. You follow the Mühlviertleralm road for a short stretch before turning off onto a goods road to Wolfgrub, where you have the opportunity to cycle up to the Opferstein as a small test of strength. The effort is rewarded with a great view of the Mühlviertel and spectacular rock formations at the highest point of the tour. A short distance back on the same route, you hurtle down to the Königswiesner Bundesstraße on gravel.
Now it's time to get down to business once again, with a steep climb through the forest up to Zellhof, from where you can enjoy a relaxed ride back to the starting point.

Around 39% of the route is on natural trails, while the remaining 61% is on paved paths and asphalt (4%).
