The region on the Bavarian-Upper Austrian Danube is a paradise for all leisure cyclists - because cycling along the river and on the circular tours through the region has charm!
On the Danube cycle path from Passau to Schlögen, carefree cycling pleasure awaits all two-wheeled fans on both banks. Cyclists can enjoy exciting excursions between the episcopal city and the natural wonder of the Schlögener Schlinge. In addition to natural treasures, there is also a rich cultural heritage to discover on the tour between Passau and Schlögen. The UNESCO World Heritage Danube Limes is particularly noticeable along the route and invites you to experience it in a very special way.
The history of the Roman Empire along the UNESCO World Heritage Site Danube Limes is exciting. And it becomes even more exciting when it is brought to life with augmented reality. Like the Danube, the Roman past has shaped landscapes and moulded people. Numerous architectural testimonies to this remarkable and diverse culture are now on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Between Passau and Schlögen, modern technology is now being used to breathe new life into them.
