On historical tracks - riding along the horse-drawn railway
This tour starts either in Rainbach or Waldburg and takes riders on the trail of the legendary horse-drawn railroad, which made its last journey in 1872.
Along the former route, horse and rider experience a unique combination of nature, technical history and regional flair. If you want to delve even deeper into this fascinating era, you can make a worthwhile detour to the horse-drawn railway museum in Kerschbaum - a place that vividly shows how innovative transport concepts once shaped the region. The ride is accompanied by the gently undulating landscape of the Mühlviertel, which repeatedly offers impressive views over the vast cultural landscape - an ideal combination of slowing down, experiencing nature and a journey through history.
34 % paved path/asphalt and 66 % on field, forest and meadow paths.
