150 km long hiking trail to the most beautiful places in and around the Kalkalpen National Park
The Kalkalpenweg connects the Ennstal of Reichraming with the Dead Mountains near Hinterstoder. It leads over the Sengsengebirge to Windischgarsten and over Spital am Pyhrn to the Wurzeralm. From there it goes via Hinterstoder and the Flötzersteig to Sankt Pankraz.
Staring from Reichraming in the Enns valley, the route leads over the Sengsengebirge mountains to Windischgarsten, on to Spital am Pyhrn and via the Tote Gebirge mountain range to Hinterstoder. The trail leads over mountains and through valleys passing the most beautiful spots of the region. Some of the highlights are the heights of the Gamsstein and Kleinerberg mountains, the Gowialm pasture with stunning panoramic views and the natural spectacle of the steep Dr. Vogelgesang-Gorge as well as the Strumboding waterfalls.
