From the starting point coal station Scheiben along the Nordic Walking Circuit in the direction of Hochweg, trail no. A2 (=alternative shortcut of the Hausruck Ringwanderweg). Follow this trail until you reach the sign "Wolfsegg, Haag, Entern". Here you follow the Nordic Walking sign no. X. At the first sharp bend to the right, you can turn left about 30m up to the Lärchenbankerl and enjoy the beautiful view of the Mühlviertel.
Alternative route extensions: The Great Nordic Walking Circuit can be extended to two frequently visited hiking destinations.
WILDHACKKREUZ: At the Nordic Walking directional arrow no. X follow the signpost "Wildhackkreuz" to the right (no marking). The path joins another path coming from the left. From here, about 100m, a path branches off to the right and leads up to the Widhackkreuz (table, benches and summit book). To get back to the Nordic Walking route, continue in the same direction, down the following steep slope and immediately branch off to the left. After 50m you reach a path, here turn 90° left and you reach the junction where you were led before. Now turn right and follow the signpost "Wolfsegg". Here you will find yourself again on the Nordic Walking route or path no. A2. Follow this route until you reach the signpost "Wolfsegg, Haag, Entern". Here you follow the Nordic Walking sign no. X. At the first sharp bend to the right, you can make a detour to the left, about 30m up, to the Lärchenbankerl and enjoy the beautiful view of the Mühlviertel from there. Return to the Nordic Walking route and follow it until you reach the historic coal railway line.
JUBILEE TUNNEL: Follow the railroad line for about 300m to the jubilee tunnel.
