Castle ride through the Mühlviertel - on the trail of medieval power
This trail riding tour starts at the Oberweiringer farm in Pregarten and leads through the Waldaist-Naarn European nature reserve near Gutau, a natural landscape with alluvial forests, meadows and clear streams.
A highlight is the Prandegg castle ruins in Schönau, one of the largest ruins in Upper Austria. Situated high above the valley, it offers sweeping views and exciting insights into medieval life. Before the crowning finale at the majestic Reichenstein Castle in Tragwein, you ride past the traditional farmer's doughnut factory, where doughnuts are still prepared today according to old craftsmanship.
This route combines enjoyment of nature and history - an unforgettable experience in the saddle.
